Lightweight duvet with the photocatalytic Self-Clean·INK finish.

It offers thermal comfort and lightness, with a treatment in its fibres that helps break down dirt and repel liquids, keeping it fresh for longer and reducing washes.

What is Self-Clean·INK

Self-Clean·INK is a photocatalytic finish with titanium dioxide nanoparticles and silver ions. With light, especially ultraviolet light, the surface of the fabric is activated and triggers oxidation reactions that break down the organic matter and pollutants that settle on it. In the AITEX test, the fabric degraded 4.18% of the nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the air, which corresponds to purification Class 1 under standard UNE 127197-1:2013.

Materials

Top and bottom fabric 100% polyester. 250 g fibre filling. Made in Spain.

Care and washing
  • Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate or duvet programme with a low spin. A double duvet needs a 9–10 kg machine.
  • Mild detergent, no bleach or fabric softener: softener coats the finish and reduces its repellency.
  • Tumble dry on low heat with 2 or 3 dryer balls, or dry flat in the open air. Gentle heat helps restore repellency. Make sure it is completely dry, inside too.
  • Wash it only when needed and always use a duvet cover: the Self-Clean·INK finish will last longer.
  • Do not iron.
  • Air it often in natural daylight, ideally with the window open: light activates the Self-Clean·INK photocatalytic finish and brings out its photochromic print.
  • If something spills, blot it straight away with a cloth: the fabric repels water very well (8 out of 10) and grease less so (4 out of 8), so deal with greasy stains as soon as possible.
  • It can also be professionally dry cleaned if you prefer.

Self-Clean·INK technology

A fabric that works with light

The «self CLEAN·INK WORKING» print you see on the fabric is the photocatalytic finish, with titanium dioxide and silver ions. With light, its surface is activated and breaks down the organic matter and pollutants that settle on it.

In the AITEX test, the fabric degraded 4.18% of the nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the air: Class 1 under standard UNE 127197-1:2013. Made in Spain.

Self-Clean·INK

How it works

  1. 1 Light arrives

Sunlight or daylight, especially ultraviolet, shines on the fabric.

  2. 2 The finish activates

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles react with the light.

  3. 3 It breaks down dirt

It oxidises the organic matter and pollutants that settle on the surface.

Its lotus effect also makes water bead off (8 out of 10 in the AITEX test).
